Kedarnath, nestled in the majestic Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in India and part of the revered Char Dham Yatra. At an altitude of 11,755 ft, the ancient Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, stands as a symbol of faith and resilience, surrounded by snow-clad peaks and the sacred Mandakini River.
Reaching Kedarnath is a spiritual journey in itself – a trek through scenic valleys, waterfalls, and misty mountains that fills every step with devotion and awe. The divine atmosphere, the sound of temple bells, and the sight of the mighty Himalayas create an experience beyond words.

Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival at Pickup
- On arrival at Haridwar/Dehradun/Rishikesh, our representative assists you with vehicle allocation.
- Begin the scenic Himalayan drive towards Guptkashi, passing through river valleys and mountain terrains.
- En route you witness the confluence regions of Uttarakhand’s sacred rivers and gradual elevation gain.
- Reach Guptkashi & Check-in at your respective hotel/camp.
- If time permits, visit:
- Vishwanath Temple
- Ardhnareshwar Temple
- Evening at leisure to acclimatize (important for altitude adaptation).
- Dinner and overnight stay in Guptkashi / Phata.
Operational Note: Proper rest is crucial before next day’s trek.
Day 2: Sonprayag - Kedarnath
- Early Breakfast & drive to Sonprayag.
- From Sonprayag, local transport takes you to Gaurikund (trek starting point).
- Begin 15–16 km trek to Kedarnath.
Trek Details:
- Well-defined paved route with medical & refreshment points.
- Options available (not included in package):
- Pony/Horse
- Doli (palanquin)
- Helicopter from Phata/Sersi (approx. ₹9,500 return – subject to change)
During the trek:
- The Mandakini River flows alongside.
- Gradual climb through Rambara sector.
- Continuous chants of “Har Har Mahadev” create a spiritual atmosphere.
- Stunning Himalayan glacier backdrops become visible as you approach Kedarnath.
Arrival at Kedarnath:
- Check-in at camp/guest accommodation.
- Visit Kedarnath Temple for darshan.
- Attend evening aarti (subject to temple timing & crowd).
- Overnight stay in Kedarnath (camp stay; meals not included in Kedarnath night as per package).
Physical Level: Moderate to strenuous (good fitness recommended)
Day 3: Kedarnath - Sonprayag
- Early morning optional temple darshan.
- Begin descent trek towards Sonprayag.(Downhill trek usually takes 5–7 hours depending on pace).
- Reach Sonprayag & transfer back to Guptkashi / Rudraprayag by car.
- Dinner and overnight stay at respective hotels.
Note: Downhill trek stresses knees — walking stick recommended.
Day 4: Rishikesh - Departure
- Early breakfast & drive downhill toward Rishikesh.
In Rishikesh sightseeing:
- Visit Ram Jhula
- Visit Lakshman Jhula
- Explore local markets and riverfront ghats.
- Optional: Witness Ganga Aarti (time permitting).
- Proceed to Haridwar / Dehradun for your departure.
- Trip concludes with wonderful memories.
